Wesham Road Runners are a running club based in Kirkham & Wesham.
The club were formed in 1985 starting off with 30 members, and then celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2009. As of January 2024 the club now stands at 160, including 135 1st claim members.
As an England and Northern Athletics affiliated club, we compete in road running, trail running, fell running, and cross country. This also includes the interclub competition where we compete against local running clubs in Lancashire.
The club meet on a Monday evening at 7pm, with runners heading out over range of distances and speeds. We also meet on a Wednesday evening also at 7pm for a structured session. These sessions differ each week and are taken by fully qualified England Athletic coach.
